What the site is

ShareSexStories is a text-only story site where members post erotic stories, personal experiences and fantasies, either under a username or anonymously. It is written in English, and its own description is blunt about the format: "No visuals. Just words." The home page opens on a feed of community stories under the line "Real stories. Real desire. Intimate experiences and fantasies, written and shared by an open community."

For a free visitor the draw is simple. Story pages open to a reader who is not logged in, with the text, the topic tags and a comment section visible. There are no videos to start, no player and no image thumbnails. The site is run by "a small team" and says it is not backed by "a media conglomerate or an ad network".

What loads and what you get

In October 2026 the story feed on the front page came up without a single third-party domain: all 86 of its requests went to the site's own domain, no ad network turns up in the record, and it shows neither a security warning nor a redirect away from ShareSexStories. That fits what the privacy policy says: "We do not use third-party advertising trackers." The same policy says the site uses session cookies for authentication and small amounts of local storage for user preferences, and that analytics and hosting sit with service providers bound by confidentiality agreements.

The front page is a chronological feed called "Latest from the community", paged into 3 pages, with a sort switch at the bottom. Each card shows a title, an author name or "Anonymous", a small count, the topic tags and the opening lines. A header carries Write a Story and Login, and a footer lists Browse Topics, Popular Stories, New Stories, a blog and a "Submit via Email" route.

For a reader, the tags matter mostly as a filter: they say what a story contains before it is opened. The topics page reads "245 tagged stories across 53 topics" and sorts the tags into groups such as Story Type, Tone and Style, and Kink and Fetish. Story Type separates Real Story, Confession, Fantasy and Fiction, so a visitor can tell a told experience from invented fiction, and gentler tags such as Vanilla and Romance sit beside Domination/Submission and BDSM. A reader who wants to avoid a theme can see it on the card first.

The size of the library deserves a plain note. The About page tells visitors they can "browse thousands of stories by topic", while the topics page counts 245 tagged stories. The pages do not reconcile those figures, so the topics count is the more specific number a reader can rely on.

Stories carry content-warning tags, and the guidelines ask authors to tag themes that "some may find intense" accurately so readers can choose. The terms also list tags for sensitive material such as power imbalances and BDSM. Story pages end with a comment box with a 2000-character limit and a "Keep reading" row of other stories.

Logging in adds writing, saving and collections. The About page mentions saving stories to your own collections and posting anonymously, and a Save control appears on story pages. The terms are broader than what a reader sees: "To access most features of the Platform, you must register an account using a valid email address and a secure password." The privacy policy says registration works with email or with a Google sign-in. The pages do not say how many story views a logged-out visitor gets or whether any limit applies.

On a phone, the pages mention no app, no mobile-specific version and no responsive design; with no player and no images, a story page is plain text to scroll.

Who runs it and the rules

The pages name no operator. The terms refer to "the operator of ShareSexStories.com" and say full legal details sit on an Impressum or Legal Notice page "as required by German law (§5 TMG)". The terms are governed by the laws of Germany, and they were last updated in February 2025, version 1.0. The privacy policy and community guidelines are dated February 2026.

Publishing runs through review. The write page says "A person on the review team reads every story before it goes live, so there is a wait between submitting and seeing it on the site," and the About page repeats that all stories go through a review process before publication. The terms are looser, saying submitted stories are subject to review "before or after publication". Every story has an anonymous option, though the terms add that the operator keeps records linking anonymous posts to user accounts for moderation and compliance purposes.

The content rules are specific. The write page says "Everyone in your story has to be an adult and has to have wanted to be there." The terms prohibit sexual content involving minors, including fictional characters written as minors, and content that approves of sex without consent, and they bar images, videos and any visual media. Links and web addresses are not allowed in a story's text. Real, identifiable people may not be described without consent. The guidelines add one account per person and ask authors to change identifying details when a story comes from real life. Violations lead to a request to correct, removal, a suspension or a permanent ban, and serious ones are acted on "immediately and without warning".

For removal, each story has a report button, and the contact page says to use it for reports and guideline violations. A person who believes a story depicts them without consent can send a takedown request to the contact address in the Impressum, and DMCA-style notices go to the same address. Account deletion removes the profile and all stories under the account, anonymous ones included, and the privacy policy says personal data and content leave the systems within 30 days except where law requires retention. No age-verification step is described beyond a self-declaration of 18 or over, although the terms reserve the right to request identity verification at any time.

Authors keep copyright but grant the operator a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license, including converting stories to audio narration for premium features. Authors get no revenue share.

On money, the terms say the platform "may offer paid premium subscription tiers" with audio narration of stories, advanced recommendations and "an ad-free experience". The terms give no price for a paid tier and do not list its contents beyond those features.

Who it suits

ShareSexStories suits a reader who wants adult writing instead of video and prefers a page that loads without a trail of outside ad requests, as the October 2026 record showed. It also suits someone who wants to post a story, since the review step and anonymous option are written out in advance. The tags let a visitor aim at a tone or a scenario.

The caveats are real. The library is 245 tagged stories, far from the "thousands" the About page mentions. The terms require an account for most features, the license on submitted work is broad, and the operator behind the Impressum is not named in the pages. Pricing for premium is absent. Its strength is a clear, documented stance: text only, reviewed before publication, anonymous posting and a stated absence of third-party advertising trackers.
